TN State Senator Steve Southerland suffers medical emergency
Tennessee State Senator Steve Southerland from Morristown experienced a medical emergency while in the Senate Chambers Monday. He was attended to by doctors in the state house, before being taken to the hospital. Southerland represents Greene, Unicoi, Cocke, Hamblin and part of Sevier Counties in Nashville. He is the chair of the Senate Energy, Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee and sits on three other committees as a member. No other information about his condition has been released.
