Kingsport Police investigation another ATM theft

The Kingsport Police Department is investigating an ATM theft occurring early Monday morning. The incident took place at around 2:30 a.m. at the Bank of Tennessee when responding officers found debris and the ATM in the roadway on North Eastman Road. An investigation revealed that suspects hooked the ATM up to a red Chevy Pick up and pulled it from the ground. The truck was later found on Harris Street and determined the truck had been stolen. The KPD said Bank of Tennessee employees were able to determine only $1.84 was missing from the ATM. This is the latest in a string of ATM thefts in the Tri Cities. The investigation continues and anyone with information is asked to called Kingsport Police.
