Moonlite Drive In Theatre in Abingdon under new ownership

The historic Moonlite Drive In Theatre in Abingdon, Virginia is now under new ownership with plans moving forward to revitalize the one time destination in Southwest Virginia. The property was lasted used by the Barter Theatre for outdoor performances in 2020 during the pandemic. Plans and renovations for the historic venue not only include movies being shown again on the historic screen, but also adding activities for kids and adults and also bringing back a playground to the facility.
