GOP wants conception to birth video included in Tennessee life studies for students
Tennessee Senate Education Committee members will debate a bill that requires public school students to view a three-minute video on reproduction as part of their state-required family life courses.
The clips would be footage of a mother’s ultrasound or animation of fetal development.
Five states already include the video in their classes. If approved, the lesson would begin this fall. The education committee meets on Wednesday.
