Investigators: Former treasurer embezzles more than $60,000 from church

A Washington County, Tennessee grand jury indicted the former treasurer of Telford Baptist Church after a police investigation into possible embezzlement.

Kelly Ann Clark, 38, had her access to church funds terminated after an internal review showed several unauthorized transactions and checks cashed, totaling more than $60,000.

Church officials told police that Clark allegedly embezzled the money over a two-year period.
