RACE WEEK: Expect a trip back in Time for this weekends races

You can expect to see some changes at this year’s Food City 500. The Bristol Motor Speedway is going retro. This weekend’s races will feature the red and white walls of the Speedway in 1992. It’s a part of Throwback Week, designed to take fans back to the early nineties. After years of mixed reviews NASCAR is returning to concrete this year instead of dirt. Another visual element of the overall throwback theme this weekend will be the vintage race logo, highlighting when Food City became the entitlement sponsor of the Bristol Spring race 33 years ago. 80’s throwback band Spank will be performing reminding fans of the 80’s and history of the Last Great Colosseum. The Food City 500 is this Sunday, on St. Patricks Day.
