ETSU falls to Samford in SoCon championship

The ETSU Bucs men’s basketball team fell to Samford 76-69 in the Southern Conference championship game Monday night. This was new ETSU head coach Brooks Savage first season with the Bucs and his first time as head coach in a SoCon championship game. In comments after the game, Savage said he was “…..unbelievably proud of our team” and said “we’ll be back” as he left the arena in Asheville. ETSU’S mascot Bucky was a winner in Asheville. Bucky was named the Southern Conference’s Best Mascot during the championship game.
