One injured in Kingsport crash

A 90-year-old driver was cited by Kingsport Police following an accident on Thursday on Memorial Boulevard.

The preliminary report said Doyle Hensley failed to stop for a red light at the corner of Memorial and Harbor Chapel Road, resulting in a collision with a white minivan.

Police also said Hensley suffered an injury and was flown by helicopter to a local hospital.

The female driver and three juveniles inside in the van were not injured, officers said.
