TN and VA Super Tuesday primary election results

Tennessee and Virginia Super Tuesday Primary voting results are in. Low voter turnout was reported in both states, and no surprises in the presidential nominating races. Both parties leading candidates handily won their contests with former President Trump winning the Republican race, and President Joe Biden securing the Democrat nomination. Locally, in Carter county, Jason Clawson and Shane Simerly win their races for District 6 Commissioner and Property Assessor. The Hawkins county races for District 7 commissioner and District 2 School Board were won by Bobby Lee Jinks and Chris Christian. In the Washington County, TN race for District 2 School Board, winners were Eric Barnes, Mike Masters and Whitney Riddle. Todd Mckinley won the race for Sullivan County District 5 School Board. Phillip Marshall, Todd Golden and Jamie Jackson all advance in the Kingsport School Board race. And The Sullivan County School Board District 1 primary was won by Angie Stanley
