Point In Time count underway in Johnson City
An annual count of people experiencing homelessness, sheltered or unsheltered, began Tuesday in Johnson City. A Point In Time count helps determine how much funding and resources are needed to help those experiencing homelessness. For the count, volunteers ask people questions about where they are staying for the night, veteran status, disabilities, demographic information and more.
The project also gives volunteers the chance to direct those experiencing homelessness to the resources they may need. Point in Time counts are currently happening nationwide.
