Tuesday begins order water conservation limits in Appalachia
Water customers in the town of Appalachia are on restricted usage due to a shortage emergency.
The Wise County Office of Emergency Management said each household will be limited to 4,000 gallons per month while businesses must curb their water use by 20 percent.
Laws adopted by the town council allow surcharges to customers who exceed their gallon limit. The conservation will begin on Tuesday.
