Police identify victim of Saturday’s crash on State of Franklin Road

Johnson City police have identified the driver killed as a result of injuries from a Saturday afternoon wreck on North State of Franklin Road.

The preliminary review says Patrick A. Lankford, 37, of Kingsport lost control of his pickup that went airborne and landed on its side after sliding several feet.

Lankford later died of his injuries. Two passengers were injured.
