Nurse assigned to Washington County, Tennessee jail charged with stealing prisoners’ drugs

A registered nurse on duty at a local jail has been charged with taking prescription drugs and other items used for the care of prisoners.

Washington County Sheriff Keith Sexton said 60-year-old Michelle Marie Martinov of Bean Station was acting erratically outside the Jonesborough detention center and was in possession of the items.

Martinov is charged with theft, simple possession, and public intoxication.
