Warner Says FEMA Has Structural Problems, Flooding Issues In Buchanan County Not Being Handled Fairly
Southwest Virginia’s United States Senator Mark Warner says it’s not fair that Buchanan County Virginia and other rural parts of southwest Virginia are being denied FEMA funds for recent flood recovery. Warner is hoping some of a three billion dollar surplus in the Commonwealth can go to help Buchanan County and other parts of southwest Virginia that have been hard hit by recent flooding. Warner says the problem with FEMA is a structural one and is working to draw attention to the situation in an effort to fix the problem.
