UPDATE: Legal firm seeks input on handling of sexual assault cases by Johnson City Police Department
A website has gone live online at the request of a legal firm examining the Johnson City Police Department’s handling of sexual assault cases.
The input at jcpd.mystagingwebsite.com will be collected as part of the Daigle Law Group’s review ordered by the city that was triggered by a lawsuit filed by a federal prosecutor against the agency and Chief of Police Karl Turner.
The attorney Kat Dahl claims she was fired by Turner as part of a coverup within the department to protect a property owner who she said sexually assaulted several victims.
The law firm says the first phase of their review began earlier this month and will take five to six months to complete.
