Pound, Virginia Hard Hit By Flash Flooding, Some Residents Being Evacuated

Jessica Swinney, coordinator of the Wise County Emergency Services Agency says motorists can not get through the Town of Pound Virginia following overnight and early morning flash flooding. Swinney says many homes are now without running water and residents are being evacuated as a precautionary. Meanwhile, US 23 North in Wise County has been closed to motorists after standing water and boulders in the roadway were reported early Thursday morning.
