Bristol Virginia Meets DEQ Landfill Deadline

Bristol Virginia City Mayor Anthony Farnum says the city, along with engineers have met the Department of Environmental Quality’s deadline to submit a plan of action to correct, and close the troubled Bristol Virginia City Landfill. Farnum says the DEQ will now review the plan and will provide guidance to the city as it works to close the landfill following a preliminary court injunction filed by sister city Bristol, Tennessee.
