Jonesborough Man To Answer To Charges Of Aggravated Assault, Resisting Arrest

A Jonesborough man, who pulled a knife on Johnson City Police when they tried to arrest him is scheduled for arraignment Thursday. Police say Gary Williams is charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest, and public intoxication. Officers responded to 1503 E Unaka Avenue to a disturbance call and found Williams in the street. As officers approached to remove him, Williams pulled a knife on the officers. Williams then attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended. He has court appearance in Washington County, Tennessee General Sessions Court on Thursday.
