Advance Call Center Technologies to open new facilities and create 650 jobs
Advance Call Center Technologies has announced the opening of new facilities in Bristol and Kingsport and the addition of 650 new jobs to Sullivan County.
ACT President and CEO Hunter Croft said the jobs will come with competitive pay and benefits packages including stock options. Croft also noted that a growing economic market meant growing his company to join the Johnson City center that has been in operation for 20 years.
ACT employs workers for customer care in several areas including healthcare, retail, and banking services.
Here are quotes provided by the Department of Economic and Community Development about the ACT announcement:
“ACT’s decision to create hundreds of jobs in Sullivan County is outstanding news for Northeast Tennessee. When a company chooses to expand in our state, it’s a vote of confidence to Tennessee’s strong business climate, and I thank ACT for bringing new opportunities to those in Bristol and Kingsport.” – Gov. Bill Lee
“In Tennessee, we are fortunate to have a skilled workforce that is capable of meeting the needs of the companies that call our state home. ACT is a valued employer in Sullivan County, and we appreciate the company for adding these 650 new jobs to its existing workforce of more than 2,000 employees in the Tri-Cities area.” – TNECD Commissioner Bob Rolfe
“We’ve been in Johnson City for 20 years and owe much success to the area’s engaged, talented workforce. The addition of the Bristol and Kingsport locations meets the explosive market demand for skilled customer experience employees and is also a reflection of our appreciation for these thriving communities. Our new centers will create more than 650 career opportunities, offering competitive pay and benefits packages, including shares of our employee-owned company. We’re confident that our company culture and values will be a great fit for the hardworking people of Bristol and Kingsport, and we’re proud to join these special communities at a very exciting stage in our organization’s growth.” – Hunter Croft, president & CEO, Advanced Call Center Technologies
“I couldn’t be more excited about ACT’s decisions on each of these locations and not just because of the nearly 1,000 jobs that the company is creating. I would like to congratulate NETWORKS Sullivan Partnership and Bristol and Kingsport economic development teams for collaborating rather than competing, which led to these two wins. With its presence in Johnson City, selecting two more contact center sites in Sullivan County speaks volumes about the confidence ACT has in our workforce; a confidence supported by decades of experience in Tri-Cities. These days, when workforce is overwhelmingly the most important factor in site selection, ACT’s placing of two more facilities here makes an incredible statement about our people’s work ethic and professionalism.” – Sullivan County Mayor Richard Venable
“We are proud to welcome ACT to Bristol, Tennessee. When a building like this comes on the market, it often means the loss of jobs for a community. In this case, not only do we have one contact center with several hundred people who are now able to work from home thanks to our fast and reliable fiber infrastructure, but we’re also welcoming a new partner bringing roughly 400 jobs to fill vacant seats at that facility. It’s truly a win for everyone involved. We look forward to working with ACT in the coming years as they continue to grow here in Northeast Tennessee.” – Bristol Mayor Mahlon Luttrell
“It’s a wonderful day for Kingsport, Sullivan County and Northeast Tennessee as we welcome Advanced Call Center Technologies to Kingsport as well as Bristol. ACT is very familiar with our area, and I am confident that they will be a great employer and corporate citizen. We are grateful that they chose to locate in Kingsport and will lean forward to help make their transition successful.” – Kingsport Mayor Pat Shull
“The exceptional workforce and strong communities in Bristol and Kingsport provide outstanding opportunities for ACT to expand their company. I congratulate them on this significant investment, which will benefit the local economy and provide hundreds of new jobs for our citizens. I look forward to their continued success in Northeast Tennessee and appreciate the work of local and state officials who helped secure these new jobs.” – Sen. Jon Lundberg (R-Bristol)
“I am excited to welcome Advanced Call Center Technologies to Kingsport. This investment will bring hundreds of new jobs to our community and will be great for our economy. I appreciate Governor Lee, Commissioner Rolfe and everyone else who helped make this announcement possible.” – Rep. Bud Hulsey (R-Kingsport)
“The decision by Advanced Call Center Technologies to open a new contact center in Bristol highlights the skilled workforce and business-friendly atmosphere that we have in Tennessee. These new jobs will offer competitive wages that will benefit residents across our community. I look forward to the successful future that ACT will have here in Northeast Tennessee.” – Rep. Scotty Campbell (R-Mountain City)
