Investigation Underway, Following Motorcycle Fatality In Johnson City

We are awaiting the identification of a motorcyclists killed in a crash involving another motorcycle and a pickup truck Thursday afternoon. JCPD tells us the crash occurred at the intersection of East Fairview Avenue and Roosevelt Street just after five pm. Both motorcycle drivers were transported to a local hospital, where one of those drivers was pronounced dead. The other motorcyclists was released with non life threatening injuries. The occupants of the pickup truck were cleared on the scene. The JCPD’s Traffic Reconstruction Team is conducting an investigation.
