UPDATE: Suspended Unicoi County bus driver arraigned on charges of injuring students
A suspended school bus driver that police said injured three students including a female juvenile diagnosed with three spinal fractures due to his erratic driving has been arraigned in Unicoi County Sessions Court.
James Sage, 30, faces 14 counts of reckless endangerment, three counts of aggravated assault, and two counts of child neglect in connection to the Thursday incident that was reported to school officials and Erwin police by some of the children on board.
A police complaint says one of the juveniles has a cervical sprain and the other has been referred to a specialist for possible bone damage. Sage is free on bond and is set to return to court April 28th.
