UPDATE: Murder suspect in Hawkins County sentenced to 40 years
A Hawkins County, Tennessee man charged with the second-degree murder of his girlfriend has been sentenced to 40 years in prison.
Patrick Cody Charlton admitted to investigators that he shot Church Hill resident 22-year-old Ashley Vick while inside a vehicle in 2019. He also admitted to placing Vick’s body in a ditch line on Tranbarger Road.
The other suspect, Bradley Wayne Addington, pleaded guilty last April to his charges in the case that included abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence.
