Sullivan Mayor, Venable Running For Re-election

Sullivan County Mayor Richard Venable, who has led county commissioners since being elected first in 2014 is running for re-election. The Republican from Kingsport has picked up papers to run for re-election as the County’s Chief Executive Officer. Venable says he was elected to the office by citizens to restore leadership and to put the county’s financial issues in order. Venable went on to say in a press release, he and commissioners have achieved those goals and he is looking forward to seeing several other key projects through to completion. The Republican Primary is set for May 3rd.
