UPDATE: Shooting victim in Elizabethton home invasion improves

Elizabethton police reported the condition of a shooting victim wounded in a home invasion earlier this week on VIP Road has improved.

The report said Kyle Thompson, 30, was in stable condition and has spoken with investigators about Wednesday’s incident where he received multiple gunshot wounds.

The suspect in the isolated incident is still on the loose. He is described as a white male, skinny in stature, who was wearing a ski mask at the time of the shooting.
