Elizabethton man behind bars after driving 70 mph in a 30 mph speed zone, evading arrest
An Elizabethton man is behind bars after police say he was driving 70 mph in a 30 mph speed zone, and evaded arrest. 25-year-old Dalton Showe was pulled over by police when an officer clocked him going 70 mph on East Main Street in Johnson City.
Once Showe gave the officer his driver’s license, he put his vehicle into drive and fled at a high rate of speed. A Tennessee State Trooper apprehended him at his residence shortly after. Dalton Showe was arrested and taken to the Washington County Detention Center on a $3,000 bond.
