Winter Weather Predicted For Region, Friday Night
Another round of winter weather is predicted for Northeast Tennessee and Southwest Virginia beginning first as rain then changing to snow late this afternoon and continuing this evening. A winter weather advisory is in effect for the region beginning at four pm Friday and will remain in effect until seven am Saturday. Snow fall totals of an inch or less are predicted for the Tri Cities with locally heavier amounts in the higher elevations. Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin, has already declared a State of Emergency for the entire Commonwealth as the storm develops into a N’orester Saturday then heading Northeast where heavy snow fall is expected this weekend.
