Sullivan County deputy shot in the line of duty identified, expected to make full recovery
The Sullivan County deputy who was recently shot in the line of duty is expected to make a full recovery. The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office says Deputy Evan Wade was released from the hospital on Monday, after he was shot while trying to serve warrants to 54-year-old Alan Coulter.
Meanwhile the shooter, Alan Coulter, was pronounced dead Thursday morning after police found him unresponsive in his cell. Sullivan County Police say they are thankful Deputy Wade is recovering, and look forward to him returning to work.
