Person found dead of apparent shooting at home in Saltville

One person is dead following a shooting in Saltville early Monday.

A report from Sheriff Blake Andis’ office said investigators started examining the scene just after 2:30 a.m. and found one male victim dead at the scene at the home located at 128 Roberts Chapel Road.

Andis noted that the incident was preceded by a domestic situation earlier in the evening. No charges have been filed and the case remains under review.

The name of the victim has not yet been released.
