Those are the comments from Bristol Tennessee Director of Schools Dr. Annette Tudor says now is the time for the Tennessee Legislature to address the antiquated system it currently uses to fund local school systems. Tudor gave a report to city council members on Tuesday and says now is the time for the Tennessee legislature to take up the matter of school funding with more than 3 billion dollars in surplus state funds. The current model has been around for thirty years and is expected to be discussed during this session of the Tennessee General Assembly which is now underway in Nashville.
