One Killed In Multi Vehicle Crash On Interstate 26 W In Carter County

One person is dead following a multi vehicle crash on Interstate 26 West Tuesday morning. According to Tennessee Highway Patrol and TDOT officials, the accident occurred around 7:00 am Tuesday after multiple vehicles crashed near mile marker 27. The fatal crash closed the roadway leading into Johnson City near Okolona Road. No other word on any other injuries and the crash is under investigation.
