Governor Northam launches new Virginia Mortgage Relief Program to assist homeowners with pandemic hardships
Virginia Governor Northam announced on Thursday the launch of the Virginia Mortgage Relief Program. This new statewide program aims to help people stay in their homes by easing mortgage delinquencies, defaults, and foreclosures as a result of the pandemic.
Governor Northam says “Virginia is taking aggressive steps to help people stay in their homes.” Eligible homeowners must have experienced a reduction of income or increase in living expenses after January 2020, and must currently own and occupy their home. Applications open on January 3rd at VirginiaMortgageRelief.com.
