Appalachian Independence Center supplying limited number of air purifiers to eligible Bristol, Virginia residents
The Appalachian Independence Center has started a program to provide air purifiers to qualifying residents of Bristol Virginia, to help alleviate problems caused by the landfill’s odor. The center says it has dedicated limited funding to supply purifiers to eligible residents at no cost to them.
To qualify, an individual must be a resident of Bristol, Virginia, they must have a disability or chronic condition, and have a total household income that is less than 80 percent of the Area Median Family Income. The program is open to all ages, and the purifiers are distributed on a first-come first-served basis.
