United Way Of Southwest Virginia Completes Hurley Recovery Challenge
Thursday the United Way of Southwest Virginia completed a one hundred thousand dollar matching grant to provide residents of flood stricken Hurley Virginia with much needed support for flood recovery efforts, following FEMA’s refusal to provide full recovery funding. Mary Ann Holbrook is Vice President of Development for UWSWV. The matching grant now provides an additional 200 thousand dollars to help the residents recover from the August floods that killed one person and caused millions of dollars in damages.
