Senator Warner Takes Jab At FEMA’s Denial Of Funds For Flood Stricken Hurley Virginia
Southwest Virginia’s Ninth District United States Senator Mark Warner took a jab at FEMA officials on Wednesday following that agencies decision to deny southwest Virginia’s tiny Town of Hurley’s request for FEMA funds after recent devastating floods hit the area and killed one person. An estimated six million dollars in damages resulted from the floods that ripped through the town back in August. Warner says he has personally contacted FEMA’s Director concerning that agencies decision to deny funding in the rural southwest Virginia community.
