TDOT: “No Trash November” campaign doubles initial goal for litter pickup
The Tennessee Department of Transportation says its “No Trash November” campaign doubled the initial goal of 20,000 pounds of litter pickup. TDOT says more than 1,000 volunteers across the state joined forces to collect over 46,000 pounds of litter from roadways.
The state gave special recognition to a number of organizations that made significant contributions to the campaign; one being Keep Kingsport Beautiful, which collected more than 12,000 pounds of litter from our region.
