Warner Grateful, For Passage Of Stopgap Bill, But Tired Of Political Football
Grateful that Congress was able to avert a government shutdown with Thursday’s approval of a stopgap funding bill, Southwest Virginia United States Senator Mark Warner says however, it’s tiring to keep playing the political football…the benefits of the elderly, vets, and federal employees shouldn’t be used as a bargaining chip. Democrats and Republican’s came together on Thursday to approve the measure that will keep the Government open through February. 28 Congressmen voted against the measure.
