Lee Makes Stops In Two East Tennessee Counties Tuesday
Tennessee Governor Bill Lee visits a workforce development center that Carter County officials hope will become a hub for Technical Education in the region and a successful, locally owned farm in Unicoi County Tuesday. Governor Lee wants to see Elizabethton’s Workforce Development Center. The training facility is seeking state funds to assist in its goal of providing students with a high school diploma and advanced training at the same time. Lee also visits Unicoi County’s Jones and Church Farms. The vegetable and melon farm, established in 1974 is locally owned, has 12 employees and generates more than two and a half million dollars a year in sales.
