VFP to spend $7 million to expand Duffield plant

Future demand for its enclosed shelters has VFP, Inc. in Scott County thinking expansion.

Governor Northam announced the Duffield-based plant is growing thanks to a $7.2 million capital improvement. The company also plans to hire 30 new workers to meet the uptick in production.

VFP produces custom-made shelters for such industries as telecommunications, utility projects, and data centers. They have been located in Scott County since 1997.
