Governor Lee To Hold Talks With Economically, Hard Hit, Rural Communities Leaders
Tennessee Governor Bill Lee is heading to East Tennessee later this week to hold his 2021 East Tennessee Rural Summit. The summit is being held in the small, east Tennessee town of Newport at the base of the Smokey Mountains. An appropriate setting for Lee’s discussion of the the hardships many rural areas in the Volunteer State are suffering due to high unemployment and rural locations. The Governor will be holding meetings with leaders from some of the hardest hit counties struggling economically in the region.
