Hawkins Authorities Investigating Suspected Case Of Elder Abuse

The Hawkins County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a case of suspected Elder Abuse and Neglect. EMS was called to 456 Beech Grove Road in reference to a fallen patient. According to an EMS worker on the scene, an elderly female was found on the floor. EMS says it appears the elderly woman had been there for sometime in unsafe living conditions. Up to ten dogs were discovered inside the residence with feces throughout the house. The woman had several injuries from what appeared to be from long term neglect. The case has been turned over to Elderly Protective Services. No arrests have been made at this time.
