Huge Increase In Student Voting At ETSU During Past Presidential Election

There’s been a huge increase in the number of ETSU students who voted in the past Presidential election. According to a report from the University, there was a 17 and a half percent increase in voting during the 2020 election compared to 2016. The report shows that more than 64 percent of ETSU students took part in the 2020 election. The report goes on to say the high level of participation can be attributed to several factors including student activism on issues such as racial injustice, global climate change and voter suppression.
