TDOC Looking For Halloween Sex Offender Violators
Kids in the region will be looking for treats when Halloween arrives in two weeks, and the Tennessee Department of Corrections will be looking for opportunistic sex offenders who may try and take advantage of children participating in Halloween events. With just under four thousand sex offenders on supervision across the Volunteer State, TDOC has launched Operation Blackout in hopes of confirming if sex offenders in the region are complying with the conditions of their supervised release. The agency plans to conduct unannounced home checks leading up to Halloween and on Halloween night to monitor sex offenders in the area.
