Johnson City Police Question Person Of Interest In Tipton Bar Shooting Death

An investigation is underway in Johnson City after one person was killed in a bar room shooting early Friday morning. Police responded to Tipton’s Bar in the downtown district of Johnson City and found one person dead from a gunshot wound. Detective Kevin Peters with the Johnson City Police Department says the shooter fled the scene and was apprehended a short time later and is currently being held as a person of interest in the shooting. According to witnesses, an argument erupted between the two individuals when one of them pulled a gun and fatally shot the other one.
