2021 Vet Fest at ETSU; honoring military veterans lost to suicide

An event is happening at East Tennessee State University to honor military veterans lost to suicide. This event is called Vet Fest 2021 and features a 5K run or walk, as well as a 10K run around ETSU’s campus. Organizers say Vet Fest provides an annual uplifting opportunity for veterans and our community to stand together against military suicide. Participants in the 10K have a option to do a ruck; this is where runners are weighed down with backpacks or other supplies. This is a common practice in the military, as soldiers have a lot to carry around in a large rucksack. Registration is open now for this event.
